We are a professional swing dance couple with Boogie Woogie and Lindy Hop as main fields of pursuit.
In 2015 - 2021 we had been competing in Boogie Woogie within World Rock´n´Roll Confederation, were happy to win almost all world cups and get World (2017, 2019), European (2018, 2019), Nordic (2017, 2018) and Norwegian (2017-2019) Champions titles. This gave us a great opportunity to become international teachers and spread the joy as well as knowledge about Swing dancing around the world.
During Pandemics we went online and through the last years have become the most followed YouTube Swing Dance Couple (got Silver Button) as well as more than 500 000 followers and subscribers on our social media platforms.
Along the way we worked on our own unique teaching methods of swing dancing, established our brand Sondre & Tanya AS in Norway and created an Online Dance School
- we professionally teach Boogie Woogie, Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz and Charleston;
- we organize our own dance festival Boogie Feet´s Festival (Dombås, Norway);
- manage and develop our Online Dance School;
- develop our social media channels for commercial and social purposes.
Sondre
was born and grew up in Dombås (central Norway), lived in Warsaw for 3 years, then in Kyiv (Ukraine) and after the war in Oslo, Norway.
He started dancing at the age of 5. At 8 he took part in his first Swing dance competitions and at 13 began teaching locally.
In 2007 Sondre went for Norway's got Talent show, got to 1/2 finals and since then his dance career has really started;
In 2009-2010
- began competing in Boogie Woogie;
- got European Champion title in Boogie Woogie Juniors class;
In 2011-2015
- also started dancing and competing in Lindy Hop;
- won World Championship in Boogie Woogie Juniors class;
- won European Swing Dance Championship Strictly;
- 7 Fast feet jack'n'jill victories in 2011-2014.
In 2016-2020
- pursuit of dance partnership with Tanya (see above :))
In 2021-2024
- moved to Kyiv, then to Oslo after the war had begun
- established and working at Sondre & Tanya AS (Norway)
Tanya
was born and grew up in Kyiv (Ukraine), lived in Warsaw (Poland) for some time, then one year in Kyiv before the war. Now establishing in Oslo, Norway.
She started with classical dance at the age of 4, and at 9 switched to acrobatic Rock-n-Roll. Since then she had been practicing and taking part in different projects also connected to Modern jazz, Contemporary dance, Boogie Woogie and Lindy Hop.
2000-2009
- had been competing in Acrobatic Rock´n´Roll, won World Cup in Rock-n-Roll Formation;
- got to 1/2 finals of Ukraine got Talent show with Boogie Woogie showcase;
- Got Masters Degree (LL.M) in International and European Public law at Erasmus University (Rotterdam, Netherlands);
2010
- Got married and became a mom
2011-2015
- competed in Boogie Woogie, won 4 World Cups;
- worked as cartoonist at stop motion studio Novatorfilm (Kyiv, Ukraine);
- got Master of Sports of International Class in Ukraine
2016-2020
- pursuit of dance partnership with Sondre (see above :))
2021-2024
- moved to Kyiv and then to Oslo after the war had begun
- worked as a stop-motion artist at Trendformer (Kyiv, Ukraine)
- working at Sondre & Tanya AS
